No Doubt Release Comeback Single “Settle Down”

After 10 years of being on hiatus, Gwen’s successful solo career, & a touring stint with Paramore – No Doubt is finally back with “Settle Down” – do you copy? The video premiered on Monday, July 16th on E!’s online website, hosted by Ryan Seacrest. The video, which  was inspired by Japanese culture (we couldn’t have been the only ones who spotted Gwen’s Harajuku Girls!), shows the band having a joyous reunion while surrounded by a party/impromptu concert – perhaps the same reaction their fans had when they heard the band was making their comeback!

The track itself, is a great first step toward No Doubt’s comeback. Gwen’s voice sounds like a great blend between her Love. Angel. Music. Baby album and “Staring Problem” off of No Doubt’s fourth album, Return of Saturn. The instrumentals have a reggae feel to them, reminiscent of Rock Steady’s “Underneath it All”.
The ska fans may not appreciate this new, unique blend of No Doubt, but “read it on my lips” – No Doubt will definitely be taking the airwaves by storm with this one!

No Doubt’s new album, entitled Push and Shove is set to be released on September 26th. “Settle Down” is now available at all online retailers.
