I knew from a very young age I wanted to be involved in art. I would always get my hands on any medium I could find – crayons, paint, markers, anything a typical elementary age kid would grab hold of. However, when I got my first camera, it was something special for me. I would take pictures of everything on my little green polaroid just because I could. I’d grab for my dad’s point and shoot cameras – film and digital. I guess I always knew that I loved capturing something special.
As I grew older, I got more and more into the music scene and started going to concerts. Of course, I always had my camera in tow, ready to snap a photo at any given moment. While attending NYU’s Future Music Moguls program in 2012, I was advised to start a music blog – and as they say, the rest is history.
My name is Karissa Vassallo. I’m currently an Entertainment & Arts Management student at Drexel University. I am currently involved with a wonderful program called Late Night Series that showcases some of the best in local talent in the Philadelphia area and beyond in an intimate setting. Music and photography are my ultimate passions – and I love that I can combine them both and share them with the world.
